Drive-It-Day Sunday Scramble at Bicester HeritageSunday 28th April 9:00am
The Trust is planning to take 6 of our road ready cars to the April Sunday Scramble at Bicester Heritage. We regularly take a selection of our cars to Bicester Heritage, as everyone knows, classic cars work better if they are used and the Trust’s Collection is no different. Bicester Heritage is only about 20-30 minutes away from Gaydon and so the Sunday Scramble is an ideal opportunity for us to give a few of our cars a bit of a shakedown and fly the flag to a much wider classic car audience who may not have been to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon. We are planning to take the following vehicles:
- 1938 SS100 ERB 290
- 1966 Daimler V8 FTA 848D
- 1967 Mark II GHG 615F
- 1998 Bond XKR
- 2003 X-type Supercharged Estate X400 SVO
- 2015 Project 7
Five years on and the Sunday Scramble is an event of national repute, attracting enthusiasts from across the UK and Europe, offering the opportunity to explore the former RAF Bicester base, the restored wartime buildings and the specialists businesses based here.
Held on ‘Drive It Day’ (a national venture championed by the FBHVC to encourage historic vehicle owners to raise awareness of our vast motoring culture by taking their machine for a spin) our April Scramble is historically the busiest of the year at Bicester Heritage.
This former RAF Technical Site springs to life with a unique mix of vehicles brought by enthusiasts from all over the UK to visit this beautiful location. The specialist businesses of Bicester Heritage throw open the doors to their workshops, showrooms and offices, revealing an ever-changing display of magnificent vehicles from every decade.
N.B. Tickets for the Sunday Scramble are now SOLD OUT.
