1928 Austin 7 Swallow Roadster

The Stratford-Upon-Avon Festival of Motoring is back this year!  After a two year break the Festival of Motoring is returning to Stratford-upon-Avon with the welcome addition of an extra day.

The hugely popular 3-Day festival will take place on Saturday 30th April, Sunday 1st and Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May 2022.

Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust are taking a number of cars to the Festival over the three days.  The Trust have exhibited cars at the Stratford Festival of Motoring  since it first started and they have always attracted huge amounts of attention.  This year the Trust is celebrating the Centenary of the founding of the Swallow Sidecar Company in Blackpool in 1922.

Jaguar Bedford Support Van – Recreation

We will be bringing four vehicles on the Saturday, our 1928 Austin Seven Swallow, one of the few Blackpool built survivors, our 1938 SS 100 Jaguar which we use on a regular basis, Sir William Lyons’ own 1968 Jaguar XJ6 and a recreation of the Jaguar Works Support Van from the 1950s which is currently on loan to use.

For the Sunday and Monday we will just be bringing the SS100 and XJ6.

Both of these will be parked up in Wood Street close to the Finish Arch for the event runs.

As raising the hoods on 1930s cars is a non-trivial task, one of them is likely to be under cover, so keep a lookout for the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust gazebo.
